Folding top cylinder valve disconnects are located on the right and left sides of the rear compartment.

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Eye Protection Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Servicing Electrical Components Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Folding Top Hydraulic Pressure Caution in the Preface section.

Important: 

   • Wait 5 minutes before separating the hydraulic cylinder lines or connectors.
   • Once the folding top cylinder valve line has been disconnected, DO NOT move any cylinder rods. This will cause fluid to squirt out of the ports and lines.

  1. Remove the reservoir filler plug. Refer to Folding Top Fluid Addition .
  2. Remove the rear compartment left side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side .
  3. Remove the rear compartment front trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Place a protective covering over the rear compartment interior and the adjacent body panels.

  5. Object Number: 1724452  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the left side folding top cylinder valve block (3) from the body line (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Place a protective covering over the rear compartment interior and the adjacent body panels.

  2. Object Number: 1724452  Size: SH
  3. Connect the left side folding top cylinder valve block (3) to the body line (2).
  4. Install the reservoir filler plug. Refer to Folding Top Fluid Addition .
  5. Bleed the folding top hydraulic system. Refer to Folding Top Hydraulic System Bleeding Procedure .
  6. Install the rear compartment left side trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Left Side .
  7. Install the rear compartment front trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Front Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Inspect the folding top for proper operation.
