Preliminary Procedure

Cycle the folding top until the rear compartment lid is in the full open rear position to gain access to the lid hinge bracket.

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Bracket Nut

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

Detach knee link with the harness from the bracket.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Bracket Nut (Qty: 3)

Tip
Mark the location of the part with a grease pencil before removing.

Procedure

1. The trunk lid will remain in the full open position, as it is not affected by the 3 minute time limit for the hydraulic pressure.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Bracket

Procedure

1. Transfer the switch.
2. Loosen the 3 attaching nuts and remove the plate from the compartment lid.
3. Cycle the top for proper operation and alignment.

Tip
Ensure that the spacer located between the plate and rear compartment lid are reinstall in place for lid adjustment. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Shim Bracket Replacement .
