Preliminary Procedures

1. Place the folding top in the service position. Refer to Folding Top Retainer Strap Installation Position .
2. Remove the left and right weatherstrip. Refer to Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Replacement .
3. Remove the left and right weatherstrip retainers. Refer to Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement .
4. Remove the front headliner. Refer to Roof Retractable Front Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
5. Remove the front latches and link. Refer to Folding Top Front Latch Replacement .
6. Remove the front and rear locator pins.

Front Roof Panel

Tip

1. Mark the location of the parts with a grease pencil before removing.
2. New retainers may be needed for the headliner.
3. An assistant will be needed to remove the front top panel from the vehicle.
