  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Press the rear compartment lid release switch.
  3. Ensure that the rear compartment lid opens.

Does the rear lid ajar indicator turn on during the bulb test?

Open the rear compartment lid.

Do the courtesy lamps illuminate?

  1. Remove the instrument cluster.
  2. Open the rear compartment lid.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the instrument cluster connector terminal B7 and terminal A10. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test for and repair a poor connection at the instrument cluster connector terminal B7. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Cluster, Gauges and Console.

Repair the open in circuit 737 between the instrument cluster and S246. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
