  1. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  2. Ensure that all of the doors are closed.
  3. Ensure that the rear compartment lid is closed.
  4. Ensure that the IP dimmer switch is in the off position.
  5. Ensure that the vehicle has not recently been unlocked using the keyless entry function.
  6. Ensure that the reading lamp switches on the rearview mirror are in the OFF position.

Do the courtesy lamps remain off?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Close the IP compartment.
  3. Disconnect the body control module (BCM) connector C2 and connector C3.
  4. Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal C7. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal D1. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Close the driver door.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal D11. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Close the passenger door.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal D12. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Close the rear compartment lid.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and the BCM connector C3 terminal D13. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
