Cargo Area Front Trim Panel Replacement Convertible

Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the seatback.
  2. Remove the left or right shroud side trim finishing panel.
  3. Remove the rear seat striker bolt/screw and washer.

  4. Object Number: 403297  Size: SH
  5. Remove quarter inner trim finish panel extension bolt/screw (1) .
  6. Remove quarter inner trim finish panel extension (2).
  7. Remove quarter inner trim finishing panel
  8. Push lap belt through slot in quarter inner trim finishing panel.

  9. Disconnect the speaker connectors (3).
  10. Remove speaker grille, if replacing panel.
  11. Disconnect and remove quarter courtesy lamp if replacing panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 403297  Size: SH
  1. Install and connect the quarter courtesy lamp if removed.
  2. Connect the speaker wires (3).
  3. Install the speaker grille, if removed.
  4. Install the quarter inner trim finishing panel.
  5. Thread lap belt through slot in quarter inner trim finishing panel.

  6. Install the quarter inner trim finish panel extension (2).
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the quarter inner trim finish panel extension bolt/screw (1).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  10. Install the rear seat striker bolt/screw and washer.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb in).

  12. Install the left or right shroud side trim finishing panel.
  13. Raise the seatback.

Cargo Area Front Trim Panel Replacement Coupe

Removal Procedure

  1. Lower the seatback.
  2. Remove the left or right shroud side trim finishing panel.
  3. Remove the coat hook.
  4. Release retainer with a screwdriver and pull out if necessary.

  5. Remove the rear seat striker bolt/screw and washer.

  6. Object Number: 403303  Size: SH
  7. Remove quarter inner trim finishing panel (1) from vehicle body (2).
  8. Push lap belt through slot in quarter inner trim finishing panel.

  9. Remove speaker grille, if replacing panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 403303  Size: SH
  1. Install speaker grille, if removed.
  2. Important: Thread lap belt through slot in quarter inner trim finishing panel.

  3. Install quarter inner trim finishing panel (1) to vehicle body (2).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   5. Install the rear seat striker bolt/screw and washer.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  7. Install the coat hook.
  8. Important: Slide into position and press retainer to lock.

  9. Install the left or right shroud side trim finishing panel.
  10. Raise the seatback.
