Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement Electric Adjust

Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to reduce the chance of personal injury.

1. Push in on one edge of the mirror glass (1) tilting the mirror case to allow finger access.
2. Grasp the glass (1) case firmly and pull the case from the mirror body.

Important: Inspect the motor pack unit (5) and if damaged, replace entire mirror assembly.

3. Remove the jackscrews (4) from the motor pack unit (5).

1. Install the jackscrews (4) and trunion bars (2) to the the new glass (1).
2. Install the new rearview mirror glass.

2.1.	Align the jackscrews (3) perpendicular to the glass (1).

2.2.	Align the trunnion bar parallel (2) to the glass

2.3.	Position the end of the jackscrews (3) at the opening approximately 13 mm (0.5 in) into the pack unit (5).

2.4.	Visually align the trunnion bar with the receptor by lifting the inboard corner of the glass.

2.5.	Apply pressure with the palm of the hand until the glass is seated firmly into the receptor.

2.6.	Manually rotate the glass to check for proper installation.

1. Place tape over glass surface of mirror.
2. Break glass.



3. Remove broken pieces from mirror mount.
4. Clean mounting surface with clean cloth.

1. Remove protective liner to expose adhesive.



2. Press new glass firmly onto center of mirror
3. Ensure that glass is firmly affixed to mirror.
