  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Attempt to operate the driver door lock switch.
  3. Attempt to operate the passenger door lock switch.

Do both door lock switches operate normally?

Connect a test lamp between the battery voltage circuit of the body control module (BCM) at the BCM connector and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the left door lock switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the ground circuit of the left door lock switch at the left door lock switch connector and the battery voltage circuit of the BCM at the BCM connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in the ground circuit of the door lock switches. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Reconnect the left door lock switch connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C1 terminal B and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  3. While observing the test lamp, move the left door lock switch to the lock position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in the battery voltage circuit of the body control module (BCM). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in circuit 295 between the BCM and S504. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for and repair a poor connection at the battery voltage terminal of the BCM connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for and repair a poor connection at the BCM connector C1 terminal B. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
