  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Attempt to operate both power windows.

Do both power windows operate normally?

  1. Connect a test lamp between terminal D and terminal E of the left window switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Press the left window up switch and then press the left window down switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

Test for and repair a poor connection at the left power window switch connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair a poor connection?

Replace the left power window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Connect a test lamp between the power window control module connector terminal A and terminal E. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Press the left window up switch and then press the left window down switch

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

Test for and repair an open in circuit 1136 between the left side window switch terminal E and the power window control module terminal E. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in circuit 164 between the left side window switch terminal D and the power window control module terminal A. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a test lamp between the power window control module connector terminal A and terminal D.
  2. Press the left window up switch and then press the left window down switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

  1. Disconnect the left front side door window motor connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the left front side door window motor connector.
  3. Press the left window up switch and then press the left window down switch .

Does the test lamp illuminate in both cases?

Test for and repair a poor connection at the left front side door window regulator motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for and repair an open in circuit 165 between power window control module terminal D and left front side door window motor terminal A. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
