Tools Required

J 25070 Heat Gun.

1. Open the door.
2. Remove the door sealing strip using J 25070 or careful scraping.
3. Clean the area with a suitable solution of isopropyl alcohol 50/50 mixture by volume with water or high flash naptha.
4. Clean and dry the area with a dry cloth.

1. Install the new door sealing strip (2) to the door (1).

Important: Temperature must be 95 degrees +/- 5 degrees for proper adhesion of the strip to the door. If necessary, use J 25070 to lightly warm the strip prior to installation.

2. Remove the protective liner from the sealing strip.

Important: Position the bottom of the sealing strip carefully. The sealing strip cannot be removed without reapplying adhesive after contact with the vehicle.

3. Align the bottom of the sealing strip to the locating feature starting at the rear edge of the door inner panel.
4. Press the bottom of the sealing strip into place and apply pressure along the entire surface.
