  1. Remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Open any door.
  3. Lock the doors using the transmitter.
  4. Close the doors.

Do the park lamps flash upon system arming?

  1. Remove the theft deterrent relay.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the theft deterrent relay terminal C1 and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Connect a test lamp between the theft deterrent relay terminal C1 and terminal A1. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. While observing the test lamp, press the lock button on the remote control door lock transmitter.

Connect a test lamp between the theft deterrent relay connector terminal C2 and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a test lamp between the theft deterrent relay connector terminal A2 and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Turn on the park lamps.

Repair the open in the battery voltage circuit of the theft deterrent relay switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in circuit 9 between S226 and the theft deterrent relay connector terminal A2. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in the battery voltage circuit of the theft deterrent relay coil. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect the test lamp between the theft deterrent relay connector terminal C1 and the body control module (BCM) connector terminal C8. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. While observing the test lamp, press the lock button on the remote control door lock transmitter.

Repair the open in circuit 624 between the theft deterrent relay terminal A1 and the BCM connector C3 terminal C8. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for and repair a poor connection at the BCM connector C3 terminal C8. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
