Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 523608  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement in Bumpers.
  3. Remove the horn bolt (2).
  4. Remove the horns from the right engine compartment side outer rail.
  5. Disconnect the horn electrical connector (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the horn electrical connector (1).
  2. Align the horns to the rear two holes in the right engine compartment side outer rail.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the horn bolt (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt (2) to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

  6. Install the front bumper fascia air deflector. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement in Bumpers.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
