Removal Procedure

Notice: Use tape on the tool surface so that you do not damage the paint on the antenna mast.

  1. Unscrew the antenna mast (1) and remove from the antenna base (4).
  2. Remove the quarter inner rear trim finishing panel.
  3. Remove the spare tire and the jack.

  5. Remove the antenna cable (3) from the antenna base (4).
  6. Remove the antenna base bracket bolt (5).
  7. Pull down the antenna base (4) from the antenna bezel (2). Disengage the bracket.
  8. Remove the antenna base (4).
  9. Unsnap the bezel (2) from the rear fender.
  10. Remove the antenna bezel (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 296686  Size: SH
  1. Align the bezel (2) with the opening in the rear fender.
  2. Install the antenna bezel (2) by pressing into the rear fender until fully seated.
  3. Install the antenna base (4).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the antenna base bracket bolt (5).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  7. Install the antenna cable (3) to the antenna base (4).
  8. Install the spare tire and the jack.
  9. Install the quarter inner rear trim finishing panel.
  10. Thread the antenna mast (1) to the antenna base (4).
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the mast to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
