  1. Turn the ignition to the ACCY position.
  2. Turn on the radio.

Does the antenna move to the full mast position?

  1. Disconnect the radio power antenna connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ACCY position.
  3. Turn the radio on.
  4. Connect a test lamp between terminal A of the radio power antenna connector and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect the test lamp between the radio power antenna connector terminal A and terminal C. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Repair a poor connection or an open in the battery voltage circuit of the antenna relay switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Connect the test lamp between the radio power antenna connector terminal B and terminal C. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair a poor connection or an open in the ground circuit of the power antenna. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
