  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Turn on the radio.

Does the radio display illuminate and the speakers operate properly?

  1. Disconnect the radio harness connector C1.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the radio harness connector C1 terminal 10 and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Probe between the radio harness connector C1 terminal 10 and terminal 5. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Repair a poor connection or an open in the battery voltage circuit of the radio. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Probe between the radio harness connector C1 terminal 5 and terminal 9. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
