  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Turn on the park lamps.
  3. Set the IP dimmer switch at the maximum intensity.

Do the instrument panel lamps illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the circuit 8 terminal at the inoperative instrument panel lamp connector and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in circuit 8 between the inoperative component lamp and S224. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Connect a test lamp between the inoperative component connector circuit 8 and the instrument lamp ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair an open or a poor connection in the ground circuit of the inoperative lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test for and repair a poor connection at the inoperative lamp. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
