  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Turn on the park lamps.

Do the side marker lamps illuminate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the side marker lamp.
  2. Leave the park lamps on.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the supply voltage circuit of the side marker lamp and the ground circuit of the side marker lamp. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Replace the side marker lamp. Refer to Side Marker Lamp Replacement or Side Marker Lamp Replacement .

Connect a test lamp between the supply voltage circuit of the side marker lamp and ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair a poor connection or an open in the ground circuit of the side marker lamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
