  1. Turn the ignition to the RUN position.
  2. Latch the driver's seat belt.

Does the fasten seat belt indicator turn off?

Disconnect the BCM connector C2 and the BCM connector C3.

Is the fasten seat belt indicator still on?

Inspect for and repair a short to battery voltage in circuit  237. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair a short?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?

Connect a test lamp between the BCM connector C2 terminal B and connector C3 terminal C13. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test for and repair a short to ground in circuit 238. Refer to Circuit Testing or Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and repair a short?

Replace the seat belt switch.

Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
