DOOR GLASS WONT STAY IN PLACE MANUAL REGULATORS ONLY-REPLACE

SUBJECT: DOOR GLASS DOESN'T STAY IN PLACE - MANUAL REGULATORS ONLY (REPLACE REGULATOR)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 "F" CAR CHEVROLET CAMARO PONTIAC FIREBIRD

APPLICATION:

1992 "F" cars, with manual regulators only, within the following VIN breakpoints:

Chev From NL116619 to NL129679 Pont From NL212558 to NL213572

CONDITION:

Some owners may comment about door glass that doesn't maintain a seal to the weather-strip or drops down and causes windnoise.

CAUSE:

May be due to internal conditions in the regulator spindle and clutch mechanism.

CORRECTION:

If this condition is found, replace the regulator.

IMPORTANT: Do not adjust door glass only to correct this condition. Attempts to adjust door glass will not correct this condition.
