INOP. 'DOOR AJAR' SWITCH REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING SWITCH

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1986 Fiero

CONDITION:

--------- On some 1986 Fiero vehicles, the door ajar light may not function properly. Either the ajar light will not come on with the door open, or the ajar light will stay on with the door closed.

CAUSE:

----- The switch may not function properly due to the switch wiring and switch contacts being incompatible for durable operation.

CORRECTION:

---------- Replace malfunctioning ajar switches with the same part number switch. Fiero models built after September, 1985 commencing with V.I.N. GP212466 have revised switches.
