Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the Instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement
  2. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 450336  Size: SH
  5. Remove the fasteners (1) from the ignition switch (2).
  6. Push and release the retaining tab at the rear of the ignition switch.
  7. Pull the ignition switch through the radio opening.

  8. Object Number: 450340  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect electrical connectors (2) from ignition switch (1).
  10. Remove the ignition switch bulb from the side of the switch.
  11. Disconnect the shift/park lock cable from the ignition switch.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors (2).
  2. Connect the shift/park lock cable.
  3. Install the bulb to the side of the ignition switch.

  4. Object Number: 450336  Size: SH
  5. Install ignition switch (2) by routing through the radio opening and position to the retainer.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the fasteners (1) securing the ignition switch to the IP retainer.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (1) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  10. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  11. Install the Instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement
