Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side In Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from the bracket and position aside.
  4. Remove the rear DIM bracket screws and lower the bracket enough to access the blower module.

  5. Object Number: 419246  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  7. Remove the blower control module retaining screw.
  8. Remove the blower control module.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the blower control module.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the retaining screw.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  6. Install the DIM bracket screws.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  8. Install the DIM into the bracket.
  9. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  10. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
