Crankcase Ventilation System Inspection VIN K

1. Turn OFF the ignition.



2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical .
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (1).



4. Remove the MAP sensor (1).
5. Use a 16 mm socket to press the access cover (2) down, and rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
6. Remove the access cover.
7. Remove the PCV valve (3) and the O-ring (4) from the intake manifold.

1. Install the crankcase ventilation valve (3). Replace the O-ring (4) if necessary.
2. Install the access cover (2).
3. Install the MAP sensor.



4. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the MAP sensor (1).
5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

Crankcase Ventilation System Inspection VIN 1

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical.



3. Remove the 2 access cover retaining bolts (1) while holding down the access cover (2) of the crankcase ventilation valve.
4. Remove the access cover (2).
5. Remove the spring (3).
6. Remove the crankcase ventilation valve (4) and the O-ring (5).

1. Install the crankcase ventilation valve (4) and the O-ring (5).
2. Install the spring (3).
3. Install the access cover (2).
4. Install the 2 access cover retaining bolts while holding down the access cover.
5. Reinstall the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical .
