SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE SEC 8C REVISED STARTER ENABLE RELAY

SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 8C REVISED STARTER ENABLE RELAY - REMOVE AND INSTALL PROCEDURE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 BONNEVILLE MODELS

The following REMOVE AND INSTALL PROCEDURE for the STARTER ENABLE RELAY on page 8C-25 has been revised:

Please update your respective service manual accordingly.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

Disable SIR System, refer to "Disabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System" in this section.

1. IP assembly, refer to "IP Assembly" in this section.

2. Nut and starter enable relay from stud.

3. Starter enable relay connector.

4. Starter enable relay.

INSTSALL OR CONNECT

1. Starter enable relay connector.

- Position relay over stud.

2. Nut to stud.

- TIGHTEN

- Nut to 4.5 N.m (40 lb.in.).

3. IP assembly, refer to "IP Assembly" in this section.

- Enable SIR System, refer to "Enabling the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) System" in this section.
