REVISED: CLOCK SERVICE ALL MODELS

There have been a number of clocks returned to the Warranty Repair Station that, according to their tests, appear to be satisfactory. It would be helpful to include specific information as to why the clock was returned for repair. The following is a sample checklist of the kinds of information needed when returning a clock:

1. Dead clock (no movement or sound).

2. If condition is intermittent, be sure to include this information.

3. Runs backward.

4. Runs fast.

5. Runs slow.

6. No lights.

7. Noisy.

8. Clock blows fuse.

9. Cannot set time.

10. Scratched/defective lens.

11. Loose terminal/broken light socket hole.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
