Front Floor Console Replacement Aztek

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  3. Object Number: 642415  Size: SH
  4. Remove the nuts from the front of the front floor console.

  5. Object Number: 642417  Size: SH
  6. Remove the nuts from the back of the front floor console.
  7. Recline the seats to gain clearance.

  8. Object Number: 642418  Size: SH
  9. Lift straight up on the front floor console and pull back in order to remove the console from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 642418  Size: SH
  1. Align the front floor console to the floor.
  2. Connect the required electrical connectors.

  3. Object Number: 642415  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts to the front of the front floor console.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the nuts to the rear of the front floor console.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  8. Install the front floor console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement .
