Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2005 🢒 Aztek - AWD 🢒 Suspension 🢒 Front Suspension 🢒 Strut Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove wiper module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 385559 Size: SH
  2. Remove the upper strut mounting nuts.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

    5. Object Number: 385558 Size: SH
  5. Scribe the strut to the steering knuckle.

    6. Object Number: 385564 Size: SH
  6. Remove the strut lower mounting bolts and nuts.
  7. Remove the strut.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the strut to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 385559 Size: SH
  2. Install the strut upper nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the strut upper nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  3. Install the wiper module. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 385564 Size: SH
  4. Install the strut lower bolts and nuts. Hand tighten only.

    5. Object Number: 385558 Size: SH
  5. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  6. Inspect and adjust the camber as necessary. Refer to Front Camber Adjustment .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
