Connector End View Reference: Master Electrical Component List

DEFINITION: All the headlamps are inoperative.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Turn the headlamp switch to the HEAD position.
2. Place the headlamp dimmer switch in the LOW position.
3. Place the headlamp dimmer switch in the HIGH position.

Do the all headlamps operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Inspect the headlamp switch signal circuit for an open or a short to battery positive voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 4

Inspect the headlamp switch ground circuit for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
