Stabilizer Shaft Replacement IRS

1. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire hoist.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
3. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
4. Disconnect the automatic level control (ALC) position sensor harness connector, if necessary.
5. Disconnect the height sensor link from the lower control arm as necessary.



6. Remove the left and right side stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets along with the ALC position sensor, if necessary. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement .
7. Disconnect the left and right stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
8. Remove the stabilizer shaft.

1. Install the stabilizer shaft.



2. Connect the left and right stabilizer shaft links. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .
3. Install the left and right stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets along with the ALC position sensor, if necessary. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement .
4. Connect the height sensor to the lower control arm, as necessary.
5. Connect the ALC position sensor harness connector, if necessary.
6. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Install the spare tire to the spare tire hoist.
