BEGINNING AUGUST 5, 1983 ALL CC MODEL THM 125C TRANSMISSIONS WERE PRODUCED WITH A NEW CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY THAT HAS A NEW 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE, SPRING AND BUSHING. THE NEW 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE, SPRING AND BUSHING WILL SOFTEN THE 1-2 SHIFT. WHEN SERVICING ANY 1983 CC MODEL THM 125C TRANSMISSION FOR A HARSH 1-2 SHIFT CONDITION, ORDER SERVICE PACKAGE NUMBER 8653944 WHICH CONTAINS: 1 - VALVE, 1-2 ACCUMULATOR 1 - SPRING, 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE 1 - BUSHING, 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE REFER TO YOUR SERVICE MANUAL FOR THE PROPER DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY OF THE 1-2 ACCUMULATOR VALVE TRAIN.
