    • DT-8792301 Oil Pressure Kit Adapter

Check

Warning: Keep the brakes applied at all times in order to prevent unexpected vehicle motion. Personal injury may result if the vehicle moves unexpectedly.

Note: Due to the risk of overheating, checking at full load must not take longer than 5 seconds. Add a pause for cooling down. The oil level in the gearbox must be correct.

  1. Raise the car.
  2. Remove the lower engine cover.
  3. Warning: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan.

  4. Remove the upper plug (A). (The front torque rod has been removed in the illustration to give a better view of the connections.)

  6. Fit DT-8792301 adapter (A).

  7. Object Number: 2019034  Size: SH
  8. Fit DT-8791600 equipment (B) on connection (A).
  9. Lower the car to the floor.
  10. Connect the scan tool and check the oil temperature.
  11. Note: The oil temperature must be between 50°C (122°F) and 80°C (176°F).

  12. Check the oil pressure in selector lever position "D".
  13. • Start the engine.
    • Move the selector lever to position "D".
    • Check the oil pressure at idling speed and at full load - air conditioning and lighting disengaged.
      - Desired value idling speed (foot brake not applied): 370 - 410 kPa (53.6 - 59.5 psi).
      - Desired value full load: 1350 - 1460 kPa (195.8 - 211.7 psi).
    • Switch off the engine after the check.
  14. Raise the car.
  15. Remove the oil pressure gauge (B).

  17. Remove the connection (A).
  18. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  19. Fit the upper plug (A) with a new sealing ring. Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications and tighten to 10 N·m (7.4 lb ft).

  21. Remove the lower plug (B).

  23. Fit DT-87 92 301 adapter (A).
  24. Fit DT-8791600 equipment (B) on connection (A)
  25. Lower the car to the floor.
  26. Connect the scan tool and check the oil temperature.
  27. Note: The oil temperature must be between 50°C (122°F) and 80°C (176°F).

  28. Check the oil pressure in selector lever position "R".
  29. • Start the engine.
    • Move the selector lever to position "R".
    • Check the oil pressure at idling speed and at full load - air conditioning and lighting disengaged.
      - Desired value idling speed (foot brake not applied): 570 - 660 kPa (82.7 - 95.7 psi).
      - Desired value full load: 190 - 213 kPa (27.5 - 30.9 psi).
    • Switch off the engine after the check.
  30. Raise the car.
  31. Remove the oil pressure gauge (B).

  33. Remove the connection (A).

  34. Object Number: 2019035  Size: SH
  35. Fit the lower plug (B) with a new sealing ring and tighten to 10 N·m (7.4 lb  ft).
  36. Lower the car to the floor.
  37. Remove the scan tool.
