Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1758280 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the instrument compartment lower. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Compartment Replacement.
  3. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement.
  4. Remove the front seats. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.
  5. Remove the screws and cup holder, console cover.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  7. Remove the bolts from the floor console.
  8. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement.

    9. Object Number: 1758282 Size: SH
  9. Remove the floor console.
  10. Remove the screws from the front console retainer.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1758282 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connectors.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the front console retainer with screws and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  3. Install the floor console with the bolts and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  4. Install the I/P storage compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement.

  5. Connect the electrical connectors.
  6. Install the cupholder and console cover.

    7. Object Number: 1758280 Size: SH
  7. Install the instrument compartment lower. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Compartment Replacement.
  8. Install the front seats. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement.
  9. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
