Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition to Off.
  2. Remove the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  3. Remove the underhood fuse center.
  4. Clean the EBCM to brake pressure modulator valve (BMPV) mounting area.

    5. Object Number: 1797633 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electronic brake control module (EBCM) connector (1).

    6. Object Number: 1797634 Size: SH
  6. Remove the EBCM attaching screws (1).
  7. Remove the EBCM.

Installation Procedure
  1. Clean the sealing surface of the BPMV.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1797634 Size: SH
  2. Install the EBCM to the BPMV assembly. Secure with screws (1), tighten screws in a criss-cross pattern.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Connect the electronic brake control module (EBCM) connector (2).
  4. Install the underhood fuse center.
  5. Install the engine coolant reservoir. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  6. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle . Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
