Did you perform the Entertainment Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the radio on.
  2. Make sure that the Rear Seat Audio (RSA) module and the video entertainment system is off.

Do the speakers operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

While the radio is on, turn on the rear seat audio module.

Does sound return in the front door speakers?

Go to Step 4

Go to Symptoms - Entertainment

Important: Test the rear speaker outputs at the rear seat audio module connector B side, and at the video display connector J-3.

Test the rear speaker output circuits for:

    • Short to ground
    • Short to voltage

Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 8

  1. Inspect for poor connections at the RSA module the video display, and the audio/video interface module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
  2. If a poor connection is not found, replace the audio/video interface module. Refer to Audio/Video Rear Seat Audio Tee Module Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the rear seat audio module. Refer to Rear Seat Audio Control Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 8

Replace the video display. Refer to Video Display Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
