Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Use a small, flat-bladed tool to depress the retainers.

    3. Object Number: 400598 Size: SH
  3. Remove the deflector housing from the I/P outer air outlet.
  4. Press from the back side of the I/P cluster trim plate to remove the deflector from the I/P outer air outlet .
  5. Pull off the deflector thumbwheel from the pivot point on the I/P trim plate.

Installation Procedure
  1. Press the deflector thumbwheel tab into the slot on the pivot point on the I/P cluster trim plate.

    2. Object Number: 400598 Size: SH
  2. Align the deflector for the I/P outer air outlet to the pivot points in the I/P cluster trim plate.
  3. Press in from the front side of the I/P cluster trim plate to install the deflector.
  4. Perform the following steps to align the deflector housing to the retainers on the back side of the I/P cluster trim plate:
    5. 4.1. Align the deflector housing lever to the arm on the thumbwheel.
    4.2. Press the deflector housing into the retainers until fully seated.
  5. Install the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
