Installation Procedure

  1. If replacing the condenser add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to the condenser. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities .
  2. Using a lint-free clean, dry cloth, carefully clean the sealing surfaces of the A/C line and fittings on the condenser.
  3. Important: Flat washer type seals do not require lubrication.

  4. Install the sealing washers to the receiver dehydrator.

  5. Object Number: 651474 Size: SH
  6. Connect the receiver dehydrator to the condenser.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the receiver dehydrator to condenser mounting bolts.
