Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the headlamp and IP lamp dimmer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Make sure the headlamp and IP lamp dimmer switch is in the off position.
  3. Disconnect the BCM connector C2.
  4. Test the control circuit of the headlamp and IP lamp dimmer switch for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Take the ignition key out of the ignition switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit of the ignition key alarm switch and B+. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
