Removal Proceadure

Important:  When the Body Control Module (BCM) is replaced you must perform new (BCM) setup. Refer to Body Control Module 8A-51 for new (BCM) setup.

  1. Remove the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery.
  2. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the (BCM) electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the (BCM) by pressing the retaining tab in and sliding the (BCM) down out of the mounting bracket.

Installation Proceadure

  1. Install the (BCM) by sliding it up into the mounting bracket until it stops (insure that the retaining tab will stop the (BCM) from sliding down and out of the mounting bracket).
  2. Connect the (BCM) electrical connectors.
  3. Install the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement .
  4. Install the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery.
  5. Perform new (BCM) setup. Refer to Body Control Module 8A-51 for new (BCM) setup.
