  1. Disconnect inoperative window switch.
  2. Using a digital multimeter (DMM), to backprobe between B+ to terminal B of the inoperative window switch harness connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch on.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 6

Check for a poor connection or open in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is there a poor connection or open in the circuit?

Repair poor connection or open in:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Replace the LH front power window switch.

With the DMM in the same place, press and hold the inoperative window down switch, on the LH front power window switch.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Test for a short to ground in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is there a short in the circuit?

Repair a short in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Using a DMM, probe between B+ to terminal E of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

    • (RR) circuit 170.
    • (RF) circuit 166.

Is there a poor connection or open in the circuit?

With the DMM in the same place, press and hold the inoperative window up switch, on the LH front power window switch.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

    • (LR) circuit 168.
    • (RR) circuit 170.
    • (RF) circuit 166.

Is there a short in the circuit?

    • (RR) circuit 170.
    • (RF) circuit 166.

  1. Using a DMM, probe between terminal B of the inoperative window switch harness connector and ground.
  2. Turn the ignition switch on.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1307 between S502 and terminal B of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the inoperative window switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the inoperative window's regulator motor.
  3. Using a DMM, probe the inoperative window regulator motor harness connector terminal A to terminal B.
  4. Turn the ignition switch on.
  5. Press the inoperative window switch UP and then DOWN.

Does the voltage measure within the specified range?

10-15 V

Replace the inoperative window's regulator motor.

    • (RR) circuit 671.

    • (RF) circuit 666.
