Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check?

  1. Disconnect the body control module (MALL) module connector C2.
  2. Use a digital multimeter (DMM), set to the ohms scale, in order to backprobe the inoperative front power door lock switch connector from terminal C (RED/BLK) to ground.
  3. Press the inoperative front power door lock switch to the LOCK position.

Does the resistance measure within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 4

Repair the open or high resistance in CKT 780 (RED/BLK).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Inspect for poor terminal contact at the inoperative front power door lock switch connector.

Refer to Intermittents and Poor Connections Diagnosis in Wiring Systems.

Is the terminal contact OK?

Go to Step 6

Repair the terminal contact at the front power door lock switch connector.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the inoperative front power door lock switch.
