Was the entire Automatic Day/Night Mirrors System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the automatic day-night mirror connector cavity 1 to ground. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Connect a test lamp from battery positive voltage B+ to cavity 2 of the automatic day-night mirror connector. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Repair the open in CKT 251 (BLK/WHT) (Oldsmobile) CKT 1250 (BLK) (Buick/Pontiac). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Connect a DMM from the automatic day-night mirror connector cavity 3 to ground. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

12 - 14 V

Repair the short to battery positive voltage B+ in CKT 24. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?
