Was the entire RAP System Check performed?

    • Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    • Close all of the doors.
    • Measure the voltage from the RAP relay terminal 87 (RH IP fuse block) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Measure the voltage from the RAP relay terminal 85 to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 1342 (RED).

Is the repair complete?

Measure the voltage from the RAP relay terminal 87A to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to voltage in CKT 1540 (ORN) .

Is the repair complete?

    • Close the doors.
    • Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    • Cycle the ignition switch from RUN to OFF.
    • Measure the voltage from the RAP relay terminals 85 to 86.

Is battery voltage present for approximately 10 minutes?

    • Test CKT 4 (BRN) and CKT 1342 (RED) for an open or a short to ground.
    • Ensure that C202 terminals C6 and D5 are clean and tight.

Are the circuits OK?

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Steering Wheel and Column.

Ensure that the RAP relay terminals are clean and tight.

    • Disconnect the remote function actuator (RFA) connector.
    • Measure the voltage from the RFA connector terminal F15 to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

    • Disconnect the RFA module connector.
    • Close all of the doors.
    • Measure the resistance from the RFA module connector terminals E10 and E12 to terminal F16.

Is the value within the specified range?

Infinite

Repair CKT 39 (PNK) wiring for an open or a short to ground.

Is the repair complete?
