REV Test

The following procedure may be used in order to verify the operation of the cruise control system.

  1. Using a scan tool, command the powertrain control module (PCM) to inhibit the cruise control (or ground terminal H of the cruise control module).
  2. Set the park brake.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Place the CRUISE switch in the OFF position.
  5. Place the CRUISE switch in the ON position.
  6. Wait at least three minutes before you perform the next step.

  7. Press and hold the SET button.
  8. Hold the CRUISE switch in the R/A position.
  9. Fully press and hold the brake pedal.
  10. Wait 10 seconds.

  11. While still pressing the R/A switch and SET button, release the brake pedal.
  12. The engine RPMs should increase momentarily, then return to normal.
  13. Clear any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
