Cruise control is a speed control system that maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions. The electronic cruise control system has the capability perform the following functions:

    • Cruise
    • Coast
    • Resume speed
    • Accelerate
    • Tap-up
    • Tap-down

Steep grades up or down may cause variations in the selected speeds.

The cruise control allows you to maintain a speed of about 40 km/h (25 mph) or more without keeping your foot on the accelerator. This function is helpful on long trips.

The cruise control does not work at speeds below 40 km/h (25 mph).

The cruise control will shut off under the following conditions:

    • When you apply the brake pedal
    • When you turn the ignition switch to OFF
    • When you turn the cruuise switch to OFF.
