Did you perform the Remote Keyless Entry System Check?

Is the remote keyless entry system inoperative from both transmitters?

Go to Step 3

Reprogram the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming.

Do the transmitters now work?

Go to Step 11

  1. Replace the transmitter battery.
  2. Resynchronize the transmitter.

Does the transmitter now work?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the remote function actuator (RFA) module connector.
  3. Measure the voltage between the RFA module connector terminal E16 and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open or short to ground in CKT 1540 (ORN).

Is the the repair complete?

Measure the voltage between the RFA module connector terminals E16 and F16.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair the open in CKT 1040 (BLK).

Replace the RFA module. Refer to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Replacement

  1. Ensure that any components removed during diagnosis are installed in place.
  2. Ensure that all of the connectors are connected.
