Important: Before entering the programming mode, verify possession of all the transmitters you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the transmitter, the memory erases. The other transmitters will not be functional until you program the transmitters again. You may program up to 4 transmitters.

Accessing RFA Programming

  1. Enter Diagnostics.
  2. Enter Body.
  3. Enter all vehicle information that is requested, such as, make/model/year.
  4. Enter Remote Function Actuator.

Scan Tool Displays

Use the scan tool to set the programming options for the vehicle. The following information explains the different option screens on the scan tool.

Set Options

Choose Activate or Deactivate to select each option. Use the RPO list and the vehicle option tag to verify the correct options to turn on.

The following lists are for setting specific modifications. Each transmitter can be programmed for a specific driver's preference.

Fob #1 Option # 1

    • Perimeter lighting
    • Delayed locking

Fob #1 Option # 2

       Important: Pontiac Bonnevilles ADL feature is different than the Buick and Oldsmobile. The Bonneville will lock the doors when the shifter is moved out of park and only unlock the doors when the ignition key is moved to the off position.

    • Automatic door locks Mode 0 - No automatic door lock or unlock.
    • Automatic door locks Mode 1 - Automatically locks all doors when the transmission is shifted out of park. But doors do not unlock automatically.
    • Automatic door locks Mode 2 - Automatically locks all doors when the transmission is shifted out of park and automatically unlocks the driver's door when shifted into park or for the Bonneville by moving the ignition key to the off position.
    • Automatic door locks Mode 3 - Automatically locks all doors when the transmission is shifted out of park and automatically unlocks all doors when shifted into park or for the Bonneville by moving the ignition key to the off position.
