Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 492609  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the coaxial lead (4) from the antenna assembly (3).
  5. Remove the antenna ground lead bolt (7).
  6. Remove the antenna bracket bolt (6).
  7. Remove the antenna assembly (3).
  8. Remove the bezel (2) from the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 492609  Size: SH
  1. Apply a lubricant to the bezel (2).
  2. Install the bezel to the quarter panel.
  3. Install the antenna assembly (3).
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the antenna bracket bolt (6).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

  7. Install the antenna ground lead bolt (7).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

  9. Connect the coaxial lead (4) to the antenna assembly.
  10. Install the antenna mast. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement .
  11. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
