Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 507251  Size: SH
  1. Pull back the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the antenna ground lead bolt (3).
  3. Remove the drain hose (6) from the drain hole.
  4. Remove the antenna bracket bolt (5).
  5. Make note of fastener position before removal.

  6. Partially remove the antenna assembly (2).
  7. Disconnect the coaxial lead (7).
  8. Disconnect the relay connector (4).
  9. Remove the antenna assembly.
  10. Remove the bezel (1) from the quarter panel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 507251  Size: SH

    Important: Do not use a petroleum based lubricant.

  1. Apply lubricant to the bezel (1).
  2. Install the bezel to the rear quarter panel.
  3. Partially install the antenna assembly (2).
  4. Connect the relay connector (4).
  5. Connect the coaxial lead (7) to the antenna.
  6. Insert antenna tip into antenna bezel to seat.
  7. Hold antenna bezel from the top to keep it from popping out.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the antenna bracket bolt (5).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna bracket bolt to 7.5 N·m (66 lb in).

  10. Install the drain hose (6) through the drain hole.
  11. Install the antenna ground lead bolt (3).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the antenna ground lead bolt to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  13. Install the rear compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side in Body Rear End.
