  1. Backprobe the turn/hazard switch connector C202 with a test lamp from cavity A17 (TAN) to ground.
  2. Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.

Did the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Repair the open in CKT 1654 (TAN) between S282 and the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the turn/hazard switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.
