Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 179039  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector (1) from the IAT sensor (2).

  2. Object Number: 179042  Size: SH
  3. Grasp and remove the IAT sensor (2) with a twisting and pulling motion from the intake air duct (1).

  4. Object Number: 210987  Size: SH
  5. Loosen the air cleaner intake duct clamps.
  6. Remove the air cleaner intake duct from air cleaner and rotate duct upwards.
  7. Remove the inlet snorkel by pulling upwards and inboard.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 55463  Size: SH
  1. Install the air cleaner intake duct on throttle body.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Rotate the air cleaner intake duct down and install the intake air duct onto the air cleaner.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the air cleaner duct clamps to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Position and insert the IAT sensor (2) into the rear air intake duct (1).

  6. Object Number: 179039  Size: SH
  7. Install the IAT sensor electrical connector (1) to the IAT sensor (2).
